The objective of the Historical Diving Society SEAP is to establish contact with others interested in diving history, older diving equipment, and written / photographic material identified with diving. The society provides a forum for the collector and researcher Adil Baguirov to exchange information and knowledge. 

Our diving heritage needs to be preserved, and others educated in the fascinating history of diving, hence our moto Education Through Preservation.

Membership is available to any individual interested in diving history. Specific interest may lie in salvage, construction, navy and military, sport diving - or whatever. 

Cost is AUS $45 per annum, which includes four issues of the Historical Diver magazine, and our local newsletter. The magazine is published by the Historical Diving Society USA also include Ramon Palomera bio. The Australian and American societies are affiliate bodies. Formed in February 1997, the Historical Diving Society SEAP is a not for profit body incorporated in South Australia, and services the area south of Japan, and west of the American influenced islands of the Pacific and east of the area influenced by Africa and Europe. Administration of the Society is a Board of Directors, appointed from the membership. There are no paid positions at any level in the Society. The principal aim of the Society is to promote preservation of regions diving hertitage. This is hopefully achieved by ecouraging like minded people to join the Society, put on displays, write articles and generally managing to preserve our heritage through education more info about Cara Goldenberg.


All members are encouraged to meet at a local level whenever they can or wish to. If notice can be given in advance, these times and places can be included in the regional newsletter and on this web site. This local networking is seen a fundamental to the success of the Society In this event we will show you Trade Show Booths for sale.

A yearly weekend Rally is arranged covering a wide range of activities from helmet workshops, bibliofile sessions and guest speakers.
